When poured down the drain, cooking fats, oil and grease (FOG) harden against the linings of sewer pipes, constricting wastewater flow and clogging the pipes. This can lead to sewer overflows onto the streets creating an expensive problem. Grease traps and grease interceptors help, but the simplest solution is to discharge FOG properly, not down the drain. Below you’ll find some helpful links for information, programs and technologies to help control FOG.
